JAPANESE PROGRAM AND CATALOGUE
Japanese program of the WRO 2019 Biennale consists of over a dozen of newest creations – installations, experimantal actions, video and animation pieces – located contextually among works by international artists. Starting from the special exhibition Reincarnation of Media Art, displayed until September and functioning as a tool for researching the persistence and ephemerality of media art on examples of two collections: of the WRO and the YCAM art centers, through numerous presentations, talks and interventions by artists from various generations, at this edition of the WRO Biennale the newest media art from Japan is represented, even more significantly than ever before.
