Based on the settings of the islands of Gotland and Fårö, the work focuses on the visual effect of the temporal de-synchronization of ostensibly symmetrical configurations, which use the contrapuntal relation between the uncountable (mobile) and the measurable (constant). Discerning the human being in thus-constructed sceneries can encourage reflection on the idea of contact and the human perception accustomed to homogeneity.
Jacek Chamot (PL), born in 1978, graduated from the Department of Film Art Organization at the Film School in Lodz. His artistic practice is fueled by the fascination with the processes in which meanings and emotions arise from that which is recorded.
