ROBOTS AND HUMANS

Workshops for children with Katarzyna Bury
within the Cardboard and Paper series
May 18, 2019

Cardboard and Paper is a series of large-format workshops for families organized by the Culture Zone Wrocław at Barbara. The Saturday sessions brim with creative panache as children and parents team up to do things together. In May, the workshops will form part of the Little WRO program.

The Robots and Humans workshops will involve tracking irreplaceable and celebrated robots as well as trying to figure out whether robots can be said to have a knack for something. Families will join forces to produce structures made out of boxes, paper, cardboard, and… themselves. To cap the meeting, the stage at Barbara will host interviews with ingenious prototype robots specialized in truly bizarre disciplines. Look out! A new robo-era is coming!

Schedule:
– 11 am – group one: children aged 4-6 years
– 1 pm – group two: children aged 6-10 years

The workshops will be run by Katarzyna Bury / Tekturowo – a psychologist, educator and culture organizer. She conducts large-format art laboratories at Wrocław’s cultural institutions and collects picture books.

The meeting is designed as a workshop for families. Because only a limited number of participants can be accepted, you need to sign up for the workshop by sending an e-mail with the child’s name and age to tekturaipapier@strefakultury.pl. The registration starts on 11th May at 12:00.
