WRO on Tour screenings in the Colony of Artists in Gdańsk, Poland
in terms of current meaning– and myth– creating strategies

The two-piece video set from the WRO 2019 Biennale program presents the chosen tendencies of media realism. Orbiting around the creation of new myth-creating relations, moving towards a revision of existing semantic layers.

It is as reasonable to represent one kind of imprisonment by another, as it is to represent anything that really exists by that which exists not. – I think it is worth to recall this famous quote from “A Journal of the Plague Year” by Daniel Defoe in the age of losing orientation, the difference between reality and existence outside it. In an era of information overload and the underflow of reality, mythologies help us naturalize ourselves in the digital world.
